Quality Art Supplies, Bookbinding, and Custom Framing. Repairing an old photo album. Recently we had the opportunity to work on an old family photo album. Here are some photos documenting the process. The album had a padded cloth cover with large metal hinges and a hasp. The spine was completely deteriorated. Inside, the still board pages were mostly separated, as the cloth hinges had torn with use. This shows the strips of board separated by the cloth hinges, allowing the pages to flex.
